This article describes the TOEFL Like and components . This test consists of three sections ( Section ) , the Listening Comprehension , Structure and Written Expression and Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary .

SECTION 1 : Listening Comprehension
Section ( Section ) is designed to test the ability of the test participants in understanding English spoken language in the form of a dialogue or monologue . This section consists of 50 questions and done in less than 35 minutes , and is divided into three sub - sections ( Part ) .

Part A consists of 30 questions .
In this sub - section test participants will listen to a short conversation between two people , which is then followed by a question . Test participants had to answer this question by choosing ONE of the four choices best answer . Each conversation and the question was played only once and not written in the test book .

Part B consists of 7-8 questions .
In this subsection test participants will listen to two or three a longer conversation between two people . Each conversation is followed by a few ( 3-4 ) questions . Test participants must answer each question by choosing ONE of the four choices best answer . Each conversation and the question was played only once and not written in the test book .

Part C consists of 12-13 questions .
In this subsection test participants will hear several monologues ( " talk " ) that is long enough . Each monologue followed by 3 to 5 questions . Test participants had to answer these questions by selecting ONE of the four answer choices . Each monologue is played along with the question only once and not written in the test book .

SECTION 2 : STRUCTURE AND WRITTEN EXPRESSION
This section is designed to measure the test taker 's ability to understand a variety of standard written English . This section is divided into two subsections ( Part ) , which is entirely made ??up of 40 questions and must be completed within 25 minutes .

Part A consists of 15 questions .
In this Subsection ( about 1 to 15 ) , about the form of incomplete sentences . Participants must complete the test each sentence by choosing ONE of the four answer choices that can accurately complete the sentence , in terms of grammar and / or in terms of meaning .

Part B consists of 25 questions .
For about 16 s.d. 40 , four sections ( in the form of a word or group of words ) of each sentence is underlined . ONE of the four underlined part is not correct according to the grammar and or meaning . Test participants must recognize the wrong section .

SECTION 3 : Reading Comprehension
Section contains some test participants ( 5-6 ) or reading text . Each reading comes with a number of questions ( questions 8-10 ) . For questions 1-50 in this section test participants had to choose ONE of the four choices best answer . The time allotted to answer all questions ( 50 questions ) was 55 minutes .
